Genres: Vocaloid/J-POP cover songs, "full-sounding" stuffWe both started out as the second generation of youtaite -- altair jumped from group to group, focusing mostly on solo uploads, while *nao was the most active with their chorus group, Moonlight Sonata. We met offline in 2019 and thought it would be cool to do stuff together, officially forming ASTRAL MILE mid-2020. By October 30, 2020, our debut cover of Decorator in English was released. (It has since been re-uploaded to our current channel.)Going into our 3rd year together, we're hoping to expand more into rearrangements and original songs.
ASTRAL MILE started out of a desire to pursue the creative passions we had set aside out of fear. Therefore, we hope to create and continue to create works that inspire courage.Have a brave day, and don't talk to strangers when they try to stop you.

--Their name is based on the prefix for Japanese news announcements (i.e. "attention"/"please note"), and their solo releases are titled in a similar fashion.A mysterious being who always seems to bring a smile to the crowd. Most don't know much about *nao beyond their great listening skills and surface humour. altair's pretty proud of the fact that he knows that *nao's as complex as the physiology of a radiantly burning super-star.

*nao claims that there are "little demons" chasing after them... but altair believes it's a bit closer to home than that...Recently, the shadows of ASTRAL MILE have been changing shape... *nao's takes the shape of a formless figure with marionette limbs, the same hair as them, and a series of masks in various expressions in their likeness. The purple sash with stars holds this mismash of images together while also reminding the duo that this is still a part of them.

--The name "altair" was given by the little Astralnauts floating through the Highway one birthday. *nao also took a liking to the name: "If you want to threaten someone, you can say 'altair you apart'!"Previously a solid, single shade of rose pink quartz, altair's "healer heart" is now a myriad of tones. The new heart was a gift from *nao after his last one shattered. They claim to have found it at a witch's shop.

before *nao found him on the curbside, altair had gotten as far as he did by blindly running, which wasn't without consequences. While his regrets haunt him, *nao believes that a lot of it stems from somewhere closer...Recently, the shadows of ASTRAL MILE have been changing shape... altair's takes on the shape of a caged "Empress" -- a feminine figure with horns and monstrous teeth wearing a wide-brimmed gown. The bars of the canary cage and shackles around her wrists hold her thrashing figure down, but her screeching reminds the duo of the way altair's voice once belted like that, too.

A soul is defined by its balance of the light and dark. Masculine and feminine. Active and passive.
For many of us, we either strive to achieve that balance, or we run away from it.When the two souls decided to travel together, they made the choice to strive for that balance.
It's a choice that comes with tears and pain... but as our predecessors have once said, "no pain, no gain".Wiping their tears and patching up their wounds in the back seat of their four-seater, under the protection of an astral pit-stop, they prepare to set out on their personal battles once again.
Before they head out, they wish each other to "have a brave day".
at a certain pit-stop...
We are all born walking. Some of us, slower than others.
As a certain soul was taking their time, taking a break from their usual hitch-hiking adventures, they came across another soul on the wayside, utterly exhausted and leaning against their old four-seater.
"You sure look comfy. Mind if I join you?"
"Eh? Sure...!"
While watching the stars shift across the Universe's skies, the two souls realized that they both shared feelings of being "left behind". And it was in that moment of rest that they were able to tell each other,
"You're doing just fine."
Amply rested, the two souls got back up on their feet and dusted the stardust off of themselves. Jumping into the four-seater, the two souls set out to catch up to the others who had gone on before them.

Cor Somnus project: a multimedia project that tells the tales of the citizens of Cor Somnus: a dystopian future city built on the blood of "Semi-Transients": a multi-generational community of labourers and specialized workers who built and continue to maintain the isolated "bubble" of Cor Somnus and its surrounding constituents. The project will culminate into an actual-play podcast on the EMO-KLORE TTRPG system in late 2024, featuring fellow vtuber talents.The project will BEGIN mid-2024 with the debut of Cor Somnus' star soloist, Skye Rose!
